　　Long long ago, several people had a jar of wine among them and all of them wanted to drink it by himself. So they set a rule that every one would draw a snake on the ground and the man who finished first would have the wine.

　　One man finished his snake very soon and he was about to drink the wine when he saw the others were still busy drawing, so he decided to draw the feet to the snake. However, before he could finish the feet, another man finished and grabbed the jar from him, saying, "Who has ever seen a snake with feet?”

　　The story of "Draw a snake and add feet to It”tells us going too far is as bad as not going far enough.

　　Eleanor Roosevelt was the First Lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945. She supported the New Deal policies of her husband, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and became an advocate for civil rights. After her husbands death in 1945, Roosevelt continued to be an international author, speaker, politician, and activist for the New Deal coalition.

　　Even at 14, Roosevelt understood that ones prospects in life were not totally dependent on physical beauty, writing wistfully that no matter how plain a woman may be if truth and loyalty are stamped upon her face all will be attracted to her.

　　Roosevelt was tutored privately and, at the age of 15, with the encouragement of her fathers sister, her aunt Bamie, the family decided to send her to Allenswood Academy, a private finishing school outside London, England. The headmistress, Marie Souvestre, was a noted feminist educator who sought to cultivate independent thinking in the young women in her charge. Eleanor learned to speak French fluently and gained self-confidence. Her first-cousin Corinne Robinson, whose first term at Allenswood overlapped with Eleanors last, said that when she arrived at the school, Eleanor was everything. She would later study at The New School in the 1920s.

　　In 1902 at age 17, Roosevelt returned to the United States, ending her formal education. On December 14, 1902, Roosevelt was presented at a debutante ball at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. She was later given a debutante party. As a member of The New York Junior League, she volunteered as a social worker in the East Side slums of New York. Roosevelt was among the Leagues earliest members, having been introduced to the organization by her friend, and organization founder, Mary Harriman.

　　英語(yǔ)小短文在中考中占15分，占分比例較高，如何提高學(xué)生英語(yǔ)寫作能力，教師的批改起著至關(guān)重要的作用，作文的批改和講評(píng)是寫作教學(xué)的最后一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)，也是不可或缺的、極其重要的一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)。但是，作為教師，教學(xué)任務(wù)繁重，每個(gè)學(xué)生每周作文都改的話，耗時(shí)長(zhǎng)，反饋慢。在學(xué)生大量寫作并且班級(jí)人數(shù)很多的情況下，不一定每次每篇作文都要教師批改，但也決不是說(shuō)根本不需要批改。通過(guò)批改，可以發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生寫作中存在的問(wèn)題，尤其是對(duì)普遍性問(wèn)題要及時(shí)采取措施，組織適當(dāng)練習(xí)進(jìn)行糾正.針對(duì)學(xué)生寫的作文，我會(huì)采取以下步驟改： 1 、讓學(xué)生自己讀自己的文章，檢查有沒(méi)有錯(cuò)誤并更正。 2 、同學(xué)互評(píng)，每組中都有一個(gè)后進(jìn)生不會(huì)改作文，我讓他背書本3a的文章或單詞，其他人交換改，優(yōu)等生改中等生，中等生改后進(jìn)生，用紅筆圈出錯(cuò)誤。

　　still, there is a value to respect which money can＇t buy.though someone＇s life might not depend on it, there are times, many times in fact, when another person has the chance to make a personal decision--a judgment call. when that person feels sincere respect for someone else, they will make a different decision than if they feel no respect, even if they have customarily shown a false, pseudo-respect to the person.

　　in summary, it is for both evolutionary and practical reasons that respect is important, and also why we simply feel better when we are respected.
