A crow felt very thirsty. He looked for water everywhere. Finally, he found a pitcher. But there was not a lot of water in the pitcher. His beak could not reach it. He tried again and again, but still could not touch the water. When he was about to give up, an idea came to him. He took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher. Then he took another and dropped it in. Gradually, the water rose, and the crow was able to drink the water.

My Views on Environmetal Protection
Nowadays, the world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. Recently,haze weather has become a usual phenomenon here in large part of China. People are forced to wear the mask to avoid breathing poisonous air. Some people think it is impossible to solve the problem,however,from my opinion,if we find out the reason and take effective measures the environment can be better.
If we trace the cause for haze weather,the main points are as follows,first,our country's air quality standards are rather lax and evaluation factors are limited,so you will see that current air appraisal system has defects. Second,some people just go for economic interests instead of turning out products according to relevant law and regulations. They tend to use obsolete equipment in which they are more likely to emit a great deal of wasted air. Third,across our society,the awareness of protecting the environment has not built up so that people haven't formed a habit of using green product and saving energy as much as possible. If we don't take action to show respect to the environment, we will have to face an increasingly awful situation.
Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve the environment. In my opinion, to protect the environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, people should be educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the policy of population into practice, because more people mean more pollution. Finally,laws concerning environmental protection should be put into effect and enforce strictly just as our government has been doing. To sum up,if we work together to take out such measures,our environment will get better and better and haze weather will vanish completely.

最近我發(fā)現(xiàn)媽媽的英語個(gè)別發(fā)音很不標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，我心中不禁萌發(fā)出一個(gè)念頭—搞個(gè)速成培訓(xùn)班教媽媽學(xué)英語。我左哄右騙，死拉硬纏，終于把媽媽這個(gè)學(xué)生給逼上了梁山，于是我的“teacth”生涯就開始了。
一復(fù)習(xí)鞏固
根據(jù)我的教學(xué)大綱，決定先幫媽媽復(fù)習(xí)鞏固一下英文字母。我讓媽媽先背一遍字母歌，不背不知道，一聽嚇一跳，媽媽有好幾個(gè)字母發(fā)音大走樣，我只好讓媽媽按照我的要求把那些字母每個(gè)讀30遍。開始媽媽很虛心，可到后來就不耐煩了說：“我那么聰明只要讀三遍就好了，哪用讀那么多遍呀？”看來媽媽還真是死鴨子—嘴硬，我得改變策略，硬的.不行來軟的，我陪著笑臉說：“媽媽，熟能生巧，業(yè)精于勤，你讀得不錯(cuò)，如果能鞏固鞏固，就更好了�！边@招還真管用，服軟不服硬的媽媽又認(rèn)真學(xué)了起來，不久字母就搞定了。
二單詞訓(xùn)練
學(xué)完字母，當(dāng)然是學(xué)單詞啦！我先教媽媽最簡(jiǎn)單的，我本想看媽媽的好戲，沒曾想媽媽又快又標(biāo)準(zhǔn)地“吐”出這幾個(gè)單詞，嗯，看來媽媽的基礎(chǔ)還不差，這幾個(gè)單詞還難不倒她嗎！我壞笑著決定給媽媽增加一點(diǎn)難度，果然不出我所料，我教的這幾個(gè)單詞，媽媽都沒學(xué)過，發(fā)音就更別提多走樣了。我反復(fù)糾正，可媽媽就是我行我素，正當(dāng)我苦思冥想著如何糾正時(shí)，瞧見媽媽偷偷摸摸地在本子上寫著什么，我很奇怪，趁媽媽不注意之時(shí)，一把搶過本子一看，差點(diǎn)笑掉大牙，原來媽媽把“waterbbottle”寫成了“我偷抱頭”，英譯中了，我看了把肚子都笑疼了，我邊學(xué)邊把本子還給媽媽，媽用這個(gè)笨辦法搞定了不少短語和單詞呢！
三完美考核
眼看我對(duì)媽媽的培訓(xùn)就快告一段落了，我決定給媽媽來一次出其不意的考試。一天中午，我把媽媽叫到客廳，開始考試，這一考媽媽就露出了廬山真面目，她回答的牛頭不對(duì)馬嘴。唉！姜雖然是老的辣，但還是要認(rèn)真呀！我甩下一句話：“三心二意，一事無成，一定要認(rèn)真復(fù)習(xí)�！币院笾灰獘寢層锌眨涂偳埔妺寢屧趶�(fù)習(xí)，功夫不負(fù)有心人，有一天，媽媽來接我，我見機(jī)連忙又考起媽媽，媽媽一愣，然后流利地回答起來，聽得出來，那些單詞短語媽媽也是花了心思的。

First of all，we need to set a sound pre-warning mechanism, which enables us to detect potential risks at an early stages. Accordingly，emergency measures can be taken，and losses can be minimized.
Second，governments have to equipped with an excellent Disaster Assistance Response Team to rescue those disaster-stricken areas. The primary goal is to provide emergency services, such as drinking water and medical treatment, until long-term aid arrives.
Third, citizens need to realize that the main cause of those disasters is largely due to climate crisis; therefore, they should purchase energy efficient appliances, plant trees and economize our consumption on housing.
From what has been discussed above, I maintain that minimizing the cost of disasters can be achieved by our persisting efforts.

In China, when people go across the road, they will never wait for the red light patiently. On the one hand, running the red light is not a civilized behavior, Chinese people will bring the foreign people the bad impression. When a foreigner comes to China, he is so curious about the way Chinese people go across the road, he waits for the green light, while a lot of Chinese people ignore the traffic rule and go directly. He feels so hilarious about the situation, it is so uncivilized behavior.

On the other hand, running the red light results in accident, people will lose their lives. Every year, many people die of car accident, the main reason is that they do not obey the traffic rule, when they go across the road, the car hits them and the tragedy happens.
另一方面，闖紅燈會(huì)導(dǎo)致車禍，人們會(huì)失去生命。每年，很多人死于車禍，主要的原因在于他們不遵守交通規(guī)則，當(dāng)他們過馬路的'時(shí)候，車子撞到他們，悲劇就發(fā)生了。
Running the red light is not right, people will even pay for their lives, we should obey the traffic rules, be a civilized person.
