“少年智則國智,少年富則國富,少年強則國強......”這句話是我們少年前進的力量！1860年10月6日，圓明園的毀滅，時刻提醒我們勿忘國恥，為國爭光！
20xx年金秋，我來到北京的圓明園。園門早已面目全非，成為滿地碎石。兩只石獅遍體鱗傷，其中一只竟然被劈成兩半，一半躺在地上成為“睡獅”，另一半仍堅強地站在基座上。這一只半石獅站在“大門”兩側(cè)，訴說著圓明園當年悲慘的歷史......
走過“大門”，一段被炸毀的石墻無助地靠在兩棵枯死的松樹上，讓我不禁想起八國聯(lián)軍大肆掠奪的情景:有的搬走稀世珍寶，有的毀壞搬不走的無價之寶，還有的炮轟舉世無雙的建筑……
走過滿地碎石的殘垣斷壁，一處干涸的池塘展現(xiàn)在眼前，它就是海晏堂。岸邊12個大理石基座傷痕累累，上面精美絕倫而殘缺的.浮雕，仍能見證曾經(jīng)的輝煌。這上面曾放著惟妙惟肖、聞名遐邇的12生肖銅首，此時，它們早已蕩然無存，大多不知下落，流落異鄉(xiāng)�！蔼氃诋愢l(xiāng)為異客，每逢佳節(jié)倍思親。”我想，這些失落的銅首，在我們歡慶祖國日益強大的時候，一定翹首以盼，渴望早日回歸祖國！
海晏堂后，是曾經(jīng)金碧輝煌的大水法。如今只剩下化為石堆的儲水塔和一堆七零八落的石柱：一些被攔腰截為兩段，一些被“碎尸”萬段，還有一些凄慘地橫倒在地，仰天長嘯......我驚愕：如此堅硬的石柱，在侵略的炮火中也灰飛煙滅，可見當年那群貪婪的小鬼是多么猖狂！
繞過大水法，依次參觀了萬花陣、養(yǎng)雀籠......當年這里曾是神話和奇跡般的“萬園之園”，如今已在兩天兩夜，火光沖天的洗劫下，變成一片廢墟！
圓明園的大火雖然已熄滅，但我心中的怒火正在燃燒。圓明園的毀滅讓我們銘記：我們只有努力奮斗，才能強大，才能不被他國欺辱；我們只有不斷強大，才能讓祖國走上復興之路，實現(xiàn)偉大的“中國夢”！

Pollution: An Increasing Concern in China
It is reported that ten big cities in China are being ranked among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air， the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags etc.
To my view， stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What’s more， the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people’s mind. If everybody works toward a common goal of making the environment better， we can create a cleaner and lovelier world for us and for the coming generation.

China has become a country with an increasing number of old people. By old people we usually mean persons over the age of sixty. We often call them senior citizens instead of old men to show our respect.
Most senior citizens retire or no longer work full-time. They usually live in their own houses not far from their children's, while the children of a few senior citizens have gone abroad and work or study far beyond the oceans. For certain senior citizens, tile years after retirement are not very enjoyable. First, they feel that their lives lose meaning for being at home all day. In addition, they may feel lonely, especially those without children around. Moreover, they become more concerned with their health, as they grow older, and worry a lot about their safety. At the same time, many senior citizens enjoy their lives. They feel free to do things they were not able to do when they were working and raising their families. They spend their time travelling, doing exercises or watching TV. They get together with their fellow members who have the common interests and equal free time.
In fact, there are some still continuing their work, not just for money, but to show their value. However, no one really wants to be old, and perhaps all like to be young forever.
