We all can understand the reasons that some people want to run away from home. We face so much pressure these days,and some people have very unhappy lives at home. Even though we rely on our family for so much,we all sometimes wonder if things really would be better if we were to
leave home. The important thing is to remember that we really wouldn't be better off.

I began to collect stamps when I was in middle school。Whenever new stamps were issued，I would try my best to get them。Usually I spent five yuan every month buying stamps。Now I have nearly 1，000 stamps，both Chinese and foreign。I like stamp—collecting for three reasons。First，quite a lot of stamps，especially commemorative ones，are pleasing to both the eye and the mind and good in artistic quality。Second，through stamp—collecting，we cn broaden our horizon and widen our knowledge，And third，stamps can mould our temperament and enrich the daily life mentally and spiritually。

Although the works will make a lot of money for our city, we do think it will do us more harm than good. First, the drinking water will be badly polluted. Second, the air over the city will be polluted, too. We will never be able to breathe fresh air.
How can we live here any longer? What's more, the site of the chemical works has been the only place where we students play games and have sports after school. Where would we go if it were occupied? For the above reasons, we do hope the project will be cancelled.
